preconceptions and experience and sharpen the senses or that you
enter this forest, here, everything is what tomorrow will not be! Indeed, often the path
travelled the day before with the guide, the next day was
unrecognizable..."
We can
summarize our experience with this phrase during the filming of this
video.
In early 1900, was
created the settlement of Puerto Maldonado on the confluence of the
Madre de Dios and Tambopata River to explore the resources of the
rainforest. The immense wealth of
biodiversity found in this area means that in 1980 Unesco
declared Manu Park World Heritage Site.
In 1977, the area along the Tambopata River is declared a
protected zone and formalized in 1990 with the name
Tambopata-Candamo National
Reserve, which together with the adjacent Bahuaja Sonene
National Park protects a vast area of today's 3 million acres,
including as many as 8 different types of habitats. In the only forest of
Tambopata were well recorded 1234 different species of
butterflies and moths, 103 types of animals and 74 varieties of
reptiles. The species of flowers and plants are obviously
numerous and difficult if they could draw up a definitive list
view the vastness of the territory and the continuing
metamorphosis of each species. Insects are another attraction
and a source of wonder but .... come with us.

Just a few kilometres away from Ica it stretches the desert of Ocucaje
renown for its surface scattered with plenty of fossilized specimens
belonging to prehistoric animals, mussels, whales, etc. Here in 1961 where
found some engraved stones depicting strange people and situations.
Some people say that they are a fake other say not... We let decide you
what to believe in. The video shows two excerpts of different interviews
realized with Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea, surgeon and anthropologist who
collected and studied this stones for about 40 years. Dr. Javier
Cabrera Darquea recently passed away but let a collection of more than
11.000 engraved stones in display in its museum in Ica - Peru which worth
a visit.

Continues our series on Peru and his endless curiosity with this video
on the Island of Taquile and one of the most interesting and rich
traditions.
Between June and September, according to tradition, in much of
Peru celebrated a number of pagan festivals and processions in honour of
the Virgin Mary or other saints Catholics.
We are at the end of July when we leave Puno to the
island of Taquile, about two hours of navigation on Lake Titicaca.
Situated at 4000 meters above sea level, Lake
Titicaca is a spectacle in itself. During the crossing often we do
not see the banks on the horizon that he felt like in the middle of
the sea between the flow and ebb of the waves.
The island of Taquile with an area of 5.7 square km is
one of the biggest and most known of the entire basin.
The population of 1700 inhabitants run their society
based on community
collectivism and on the Inca moral code. On the island there are no hotels and accommodation is
very simple, in bare rooms separated from the rest of the host
family. Usually, you sleep on a brickwork bed without a mattress, which
lay on blankets and sleeping bags. In 2005 "Taquile and Its Textile Art"
were proclaimed "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of
Humanity" by UNESCO. Usually, the dances begin July 25 in conjunction with
the celebration of St. James and continued uninterrupted from dawn
to dusk for several days until the beginning of August.

La ruta del Sol or Route of
the Sun that we present, is one of the many virtual Heliotropic tours
taking place in the world. Starting from Cusco, the ancient Inca capital
of Peru, you can reach La Paz in Bolivia without ever losing sight of
the sun path. In this video we will deal with some natural and
archaeological wonders between
Puno, Cusco and La Paz. We have kept as a basis, the city of Puno, but
part of the itinerary can be achieved with the daily coaches connecting
Cusco to Puno, and vice versa.
The first stage is the area of
Lake Umayo, a lagoon fed by some brooks and destination of some species of
birds became famous above all for the great necropolis of Pre-Columbian
Sillustani characterized by tall towers funeral conical in shape. Have at
least 3 hours to enjoy the facility that is a great compendium of
archaeological open air, a real yard of history left open for posterity.
Wuaca, Usnu, Chullpas, colours and sounds padded by the wind will carry you
in a mixture of impalpable esoteric worlds, cultural and natural.
