This is a very interesting itinerary that can be standalone made. During medieval times many battles has been fought between emperor and pope armies to conquer Como town and surrounding region. In the XII century the only island of the lake, "Isola Comacina", was set to fire and totally destroyed with its churches and houses. Besides, we visit one of last monument enrolled in the Unesco world heritage list: The Holy Mount of Ossuccio and the cathedral. Historians and common tourists can enjoy many archaeological findings during this journey. And...
